PADRE PIO FIESTA 2018
The Padre Pio Fiesta this year was as big a success as it has been in the past. Easily over 300 devotees filled the Friary chapel as well as the two large canopies set up in the parking lot immediately in front of the chapel to accommodate the large crowds.
Nine nights of novena and Mass were celebrated prior to the feast, all presided by Father Eric Forbes, who was also homilist throughout the entire period. On the final night, Fathers Andre Eduvala and Victor Garcia concelebrated.
After the Mass, the image of Padre Pio was carried in procession, followed by the veneration of his First Class relic. A dinner, provided by the people themselves, was enjoyed by all at the end of the liturgical celebration. Despite it being the rainy season, the good Lord graced us with clear skies that night.

ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL FIESTA
Despite a rainy week, the novena to Padre Pio at the Friary was well-attended. It culminated in a festal Mass, procession and dinner on the final night, September 23.
As usual, the overflow crowd were comfortably seated under canopies to protect them from the rain, which thankfully was mostly light on the final night.
The procession started in dryness but a light drizzle began as soon as it started. That didn't deter most people from joining in the procession.
After the Mass and procession, a wonderful dinner was enjoyed by all.

PADRE PIO FIESTA 2013
The afternoon of the Feast began with a little miracle unto itself. After almost a week of monsoon rains and winds which flooded low-lying areas and swelled rivers, a few hours before the feast was to begin, the skies became blue and the bright sun light beamed on the friary. Perfect weather for a procession.
Father Eric presided and preached.

PADRE PIO FEAST A GREAT SUCCESS
On Sunday, September 23, 300 or more people converged on Saint Fidelis Friary on Guam to celebrate the Feast of Saint Padre Pio. The theme this year was "Padre Pio and the Sacred Heart." Starting on September 15 and ending on the 23rd, Fr. Eric Forbes, OFM Cap preached every night on this theme during the Mass following the novena.
For the benefit of those sitting outside, the liturgy was filmed and shown live on the tower wall.
An hour before Mass, the chapel was full and people had to start sitting outside.

A HUGE FIESTA FOR PADRE PIO
Over 300 people gathered at Saint Fidelis Friary on Friday, September 23, for the final night of the novena to Padre Pio, followed by Mass, procession and dinner.
The rain started before dawn and kept pouring and pouring, but the people ketp coming and coming. The rain stopped just before 6pm, and the prayers began around 620pm. The rain never returned and a great, and dry, time was had by all.

The sanctuary was decked out beautifully with autumn colors.
Padre Pio and Our Lady (unseen here) were both decorated with flower leis.

MONTHLY PADRE PIO MASS
Every first Wednesday of the month, some 150 people attend the Mass in honor of Saint Padre Pio at the Saint Fidelis Friary. After Mass, devotions are prayed and his relic is venerated. The Guam Friary is fortunate to have a large handkerchief of Padre Pio, stained with his blood, which was obtained from the friary in San Giovanni Rotondo where his body lies.
